EXTERIORS
A little Photoshop magic can show you the facelift your home needs. Ever wondered what a different paint color would look like? Should you remove that out-of-place window? How could landscaping enhance your curb appeal? Before you spend your time and money on a reno that you are unsure of, send me a clear photo of your project and let's test what it could look like.
How to take a clear photo
The best Photoshop magic starts with a good photo of your project. When shooting a photo of the exterior of your home, make sure you are straight and not an angle. You should not be able to see either side of your home when viewing it straight on. Also, be aware of the lighting on your home. Avoid times of day when you get heavy shadows. If you have a porch that is very dark when the sun is at it's peak, wait for the evening when the sun doesn't cast a shadow across the porch and the lighting is more even across your entire view. Remember: the more clear the photo to begin with, the more clear the results will be, so it may be wise to use a digital camera.
This is where the magic happens
Once you have a nice, clear, front-facing photo, the faux-remodel can start happening. Consider the elements you want to see altered:
1.) Paint color?
2.) Landscaping?
3.) Fixed blemishes?
In these examples, you can see where I have done a variety of these elements in each photo. Gutters have been 'repaired,' overgrown landscaping has been 'pulled,' and alternate decor options have been added for creative consideration. There are so many possibilities for a variety of home styles.
